Default Heres a creative work we did for my daughters room

Here's the beach mural I JUST finished for my 7 year old daughter's room. I want to re-do a few of the accessories in her room to go with the theme. For starters, I'm going to re-paint her bed (it's an old Sears bed that used to be my eldest sister's when she was younger, lol) and I want to change the bedding. I found a cute fish print sheet set and grass skirt bedskirt at target but I can't find a comforter/duvet I like that's as inexpensive as I want.

So, I thought I'd make her the duvet to sew over her current bed cover. I want it to be fairly simple since the walls are so over the top but still be creative and go with the look. The best idea I have so far is to get a classic looking beach towel and border it with a simple sand colored fabric to make it big enough.

Do any of you have any better, more clever, inexpensive, fun ideas? Or even for other fun room accessories.

Default Kids Crafts

Wow that is totally cool I can't believe that you painted that yourself! Did you take lessons! Man Alive You should do that for a living!!! Well anyways with talent like you have you must teach it to your daughter! My mom knows Spanish and she didn't teach me and we both regret it! I heard that it's good to teach them little things first and then go on to bigger projects! I buy all my kids crafts from Arts and crafts, school supplies, craft kits, art supplies, kids crafts, craft projects and then I am planning on moving them onto bigger and better things!! Nice Job!!
