make sure your new computer has a CD RW drive if it does then see if it has two cd drives. Make sure your using the correct one because one is just a CD rom and the other has the burner

Keep me posted

go to your device manager

find your CD/DVD ROM

click on the plus sign next to it right click on your CD/DVD drive

click on properties and check if its enabled and if its working correctly.

you can also use your Drivers Disc that came with your computer and reinstall that particular driver

or find it online with your computer model # and the driver your looking for

Alternative solution since its still a new PC might be a system restore to an earlier date when it was working or restoring it back to its factory settings.

system restore is in ur

Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools

if u need to set it back to the factory settings let me know
